Interestingly weird fact about yourself?
My fascination with costumes which I’m quite open with recently.
Dressing up and fully getting into a character when building your business, adding playfulness and personality into your life.
A mermaid maybe in future if I rebrand.
What does dressing like a pirate mean to you?
How did your journey as an entrepreneur all begin?
After school, was going to school in VA but made a move to New York to follow my dream.
Moved to down town Brooklyn, took a job quickly.
Started working at Enterprise rent-a-car place picking people up, selling, etc.
Became a strong sales person at Enterprise to sell car insurance.
Left and worked as Estee Lauder, took on more corporate jobs, felt like I had to to get the right experience but the whole time knew one day I would start my own business.
Now I work with clients to build playful copyright and direction for their launches.
What’s your Big Reason Why and what do you want to be remembered for?
Help them show up and show their personality.
Biggest Temporary Defeat?
Going through a pregnancy which lead to my new born baby boy.
I started my business in the midst of pregnancy.
What’s the vision of Kira Hug look like for the future?
Right now I’m a one woman show, I want to grow beyond that and have a small creative boutique agency reaching more people.
Tell us more about your “Bridal Rebellion” Podcast:
When I was planning my own it was more of a struggle finding out what I wanted.
Started my own customized wedding registry.
Planned an event called “Bridal Rebellion” bringing great people in the industry that got it.
Brought together all these speakers and through a Ted style event and what came about is, so many great ideas I wanted to connect with brides.
Now I’m interviewing these amazing people, preparing rebellious brides for marriage.

If all you had to your name was $1k and a laptop computer what would you do to jumpstart your business?
Getting super creative on my island, dressing up with palm tree leaves, getting coconuts, making silly videos and start there.
