Jeffrey, what’s an Interestingly weird fact about yourself?
I’m really into business and use to make fun of people at the beach playing music in the middle of the day, now I play the flute in the middle of the day.
How did your journey as an entrepreneur all begin?
Started when I was 19 really, but it didn’t take off till 21.
It really began with frustration on my first day to work when I had my first job.
Graduated college at 21 and at 19 tried starting a business in college and it flopped.
Was in traffic and said, “This can’t be what life is about.”
Was really bad in school, didn’t read much, not a good student.
I was a C student who barley got by.
Bought a bunch of books, a couple hundred dollars worth, books on meditation, business, phycology, etc. and made it a habit to read for an hour a day and quickly learned my real education started after school.
I learned to ask more of what I want in life.
Started researching real estate online, found this lil pink house in Sacramento, California so I put an offer down all cash, $150K or so but I only had $5K.
This forced me to get committed and call people for a loan.
I needed cash fast and was forced to figure it out.
Grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Honolulu, Hawaii and then moved to Silicone Valley, CA.
(Sidenote: My father was the Co founder and first CEO of a company called odesk (also known as Elance.)
My mentor loaned me money at 18%.
I turned the property around and made $40K in 4-5 months.
Learned the first step of financial freedom to buy my time back.
This gave me time to do other things versus try to get rich out of the gate.
Left my job cause it was time for me to leave so I followed my calling to do real estate.
I love meditation and spirituality but business as well.
Went to seminars and training after training.
By 26 and a half years old I had built up a good net worth in the millions.
Acquired real estate all across the U.S. and other countries as well.
Once I thought I was successful was when I began on my way down.
Went into a big development project and the bank pulled the loan.
Banks started going after me for the revenue, things got ugly and I lost everything by age of 26 and a half.
I did want to kill myself at this point.
I hit rock bottom and found my strength.
I love sharing and talking in rooms teaching others.
So I bought a flip chart and wrote down everything I love in my life…working with people, meditation, adventures, making money, connecting, speaking in front of audiences, etc.
Offered a deal to be a trainer live at seminar, to do transformational trainings working with people.
Fast forward to years later, I’ve now worked with over 3,000,000 people and been on biggest stages of the world with Tony Robbins, Richard Branson, etc.

Top meditation advice:
Don’t worry about getting it right, make space in your house, it don’t even have to be a room, just go there everyday for 30 minutes, put on some headphones, goto YouTube and type in “Meditation Music” and just fake it until you make it, sit there and breathe.
Best Entrepreneur Advice:
If you’re trying to get it perfect before getting started…. get it perfectly imperfect basically.
Don’t quit your job all of a sudden.
Get around people that really support you in what you wanna do.
