Hao Jiang is the co-founder of www.cookiecutterkdom.com, which uses 3D printing technology to offer you thousands of cookie cutter designs in various sizes.
As a former management consultant with deep roots in technology, Hao and his partner unveiled the first-ever online customization platform for cookie cutters, allowing bakers to create personalized cutters with imprinted text.

How did your journey as an entrepreneur all begin?
Our journey is very much in progress.
Still grinding to make it.
Really pivotal skill sets and lessons really began in a series of failures in high school.
My academics were horrible, parents were strict when comes to school and I rebelled.
Grew up shy and idea of singing or talking in front of crowds shook me to my core.
Being in performing arts your bound to encounter failures and rejection.
Next big thing was in college I kinda had a mental epiphany, you control everything that happens to you.
Started to cultivate a work ethic. Got my first A in college.
Graduated top of my class.
Switched majors 4-5 times.
Got in consulting so do everything, different, people, clients and problems.
After college started working for a consultant firm with all different types of clients with different problems you’re not expected to know anything about.
Pattern recognition and problem solving.
Think in a more solution basis way.
How did CookieCutterKingdom all begin?
We’re thinking about different businesses and problems we can solve with technology.
All bankers interviewed all had the same problems.
Developed this customization tool that creates custom products and cutters based off images bakers upload.
Next year wanna expand into other products and tools bakers can customize.
We have 3,000 customers and just broke $150K.
We’re excited to see customers coming in and coming back.
Plans for the future:
Keep doing different products doing 3d printing and modeling.
Big Reason Why?
Always be better and always keep improving.
I always have this unfilled need to do more in my life.
Leave a mark before I leave this planet.
Entrepreneurship is always something I wanted to do.
If something scares me then I absolutely have to do it.
When I leave this earth I really wanna leave behind a legacy of companies I know that impacted people in a positive way.
Biggest Temporary Defeat?
So many things come at you on a daily basis.
The bigger lesson is expect them.
Weirdest Breakthrough Experience?
Finding our first customer, that was the most mind blowing thing for us because we didn’t come from a baking background.
And social media, building relationships with key influencers.
Growing through word of mouth and customers excited to receive a packaged box.
Best Entrepreneurial Advice?
No better experience than just doing it, just starting a business.
Do something very competitively.
Reinforce value of margins, being marginally better then you were the day before.
Being more ambitious.

If all you had to your name was $1k and a laptop computer how would you jump start your business?
The most important thing is to find a customer.
With $1,000 find a problem people have then post it on marketplaces and get some sales.
Once you have sales you will know your product or service is something people need.

Batman is my guy.
